The Minister of Tourism, he stated that Belém (PA) will have adequate structure to receive visiting delegations during COP30, scheduled for November 2025. The minister also cited the Círio de Nazaré and the Parintins Folkloric Festival as examples of events held in the region to maintain that the Amazon is prepared to host visitors around the world in COP30.
“We have the Círio de Nazaré, which moves over 2 million people in one day. Last year we received almost 90,000 tourists in the city of Belém during the period. According to the minister, 2 large vessels should land in Belém during COP30 and offer more than 5,000 beds. The expectation of the government is that the entry of these accommodations in the market will help control daily prices in the city.
“When these beds enter the market, there will already be an equalization in the value of the available hosts. We will have accommodations in homes, apartments and homes of citizens from Pará who will make them available for rent, as well as hotels and expansion of the hotel chain ongoing”Said Sabino.

As for the impact of this change in airline tickets in Brazil, Sabino said that the government works to encourage the increase in flight supply and thus mitigate possible increases in tariffs, but stated that, in his opinion, the merger should not occur.
