Malafaia criticizes USP and calls data from the “farce” demonstration

Pastor states that Bolsonaro’s demonstration on Sunday (7.abr) had over 450,000 participants, 10 times more than USP

The pastor Silas Malafaia published one in this Monday (7.abr.2025) criticizing the data of the USP (University of São Paulo) on the number of participants in the act in favor of amnesty for the prisoners of 8 of Januaryon Paulista Avenue, in São Paulo. He classified the numbers as a “Farce” of the left -wing from USP ”.

In the published video, o pastor questioned the accuracy of USP researchers numbers about the number of people in the demonstration. SAccording to the university there was 44,900 people present. NMalafaia calculations, more than 450,000 people were in the act.



During the video, Malafaia made a contactm of the square meters of Paulista Avenue to stimulate the number of people and stressed that the USP methodology would have 72% accuracy, being 30% likely to be wrong.

The pastor still compared the act that organized with a manifestation supporters of the president’s government Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) against the amnesty, estimated by USP in 6,600 participantson March 30.

In analyzing the images of the two demonstrations, Malafaia argued that the difference in the number of participants was clear, suggesting a much greater adhesion to the event that organized. “With the naked eye, Sunday’s demonstration in Paulista had much more than 20 times the manifestation of the PT”he declared.
