The Granja Viana Karting Track in Cotia, Greater São Paulo, will house a project that seeks social inclusion through motorsport from this Monday (7). Baptized as Academy Sport Motor Ipiranga, the initiative offers professional training for young people from public schools in areas related to motor sport.

According to its organizers, professional initiations will be offered in areas such as kart pilot, mechanics, photography and media. In addition to theoretical and practical classes, students will be able to contact national motorsport professionals, such as pilots César Ramos and Thiago Camilo, who run at Stock Car.

“These young people are living a dream today, regardless of the area they have the most interest here,” said César.

André Nicastro, kart champion with over 30 years of experience, José Mario Dias, one of F1’s official photographers, and Rodrigo França, a journalist specializing in automotive sports coverage, will also teach students.

The promise is that the project can impact 150 young people, from 14 to 16 years old, in its first edition, which runs until the end of this year. “Automobile is a great national passion and, with the Ipiranga Motor Sports Academy, we can bring children and adolescents closer to this universe,” said Luis Fernando Guggenberg, director of social impact at the Ultra Institute, which is part of the group to which Ipiranga Network belongs.
