Asian bags come back fall after Trump climbing commercial disputes

US President announced 104% tariff against China; Nikkei 225, from Tokyo, closed down 3.78%

The Asian bags closed again falling on Wednesday (9.abr.2025), (8.abr). Nikkei 225 from Japan fell 3.78%. On the other hand, the Chinese ended the day. The CSI 1,000 index, for example, closed the +2.21%.

The drop in financial markets is influenced by the intensification of the commercial tariff war between the United States and China.

US President Donald Trump (Republican Party) gave a deadline for the Chinese to give up the US with reciprocal rates of 34%. The Chinese government maintained the position.

In response, the White House reported that it will apply even larger fares, from this 4th (9.abr).

In making the announcement of the 104% fare to China, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump “will no longer allow US workers and companies to be stolen in the hands of fraudulent business practices”.

Markets have experienced the effects of protectionist policy since the day after Donald Trump’s announcement with rates on each country on April 2.
