The Polish Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, categorically assured this Tuesday that the US troops who are dedicated to transporting military aid to Ukraine will remain in Poland, in reference to the plans announced today by Washington about the relocation of their detachment from the Polish base of Jasionka (Este). In a press conference in Warsaw, the Polish minister emphasized that the US military “will be deployed in other bases in the territory of Poland” and confirmed that “the decision (…) was, of course, agreed with us, that we indicated the bases where we can accept those US soldiers.” The American command for the troops deployed in Europe and Africa, the Useur-AF, explained in a statement made public today that “this planned relocation is part of a broader strategy to optimize US military operations, improve support for allies and partners and, at the same time, increase efficiency.”
