Ex-Vice Chancellor Josef Pröll is said to be the ÖFB boss

Vienna-The meeting of the ÖFB election committee ended on Wednesday evening with a veritable surprise: Josef Pröll is to be elected as the new chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Austrian Football Association on May 18. The 56-year-old Lower Austrian was finance minister, Vice Chancellor and ÖVP party chairman from 2008 to 2011. Most recently, he was Lower Austrian State Hunter, and until 2021 he was on the supervisory board of Vienna Austria for ten years, the last three years as Vice President.
