Jordan and Egypt, signers of La Paz with Israel in 1979 and 1994, have rejected through their political and religious spokesmen the “Criticism” and “Calls” that are taking place in the social networks of both countries to intervene militarily in defense of the Gazati population under Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
Jordanian Prime Minister Jafaar Hasan defended on Wednesday’s diplomatic action in defense of the “Palestinian people”, and categorically rejected the growing “criticism against the army”, as well as the “attempts to sow sedition among the Jordanians.”
A similar position has expressed the MUFTI of Egypt, Nazir Ayyad, the highest religious authority of the country responsible for issuing religious opinions, described in a statement as “irresponsible” the “calls for jihad” (holy war) against “Israeli occupation” by “groups” and “unwanted individuals.”
