The Brazilian Football Confederation () defined the clashes of the third phase of this Wednesday (9), in a draw held at the headquarters of the entity, in Rio. The highlight is the duel between and, only series A confrontation of the stage. Corinthians makes state duel and faces Novorizontino. It faces him, while he will face him. The first -time duels are scheduled to take place on April 30, and the back on May 21. In case of equality in the aggregate scoreboard, the decision will be on penalties. Twelve teams entered the third phase directly: Flamengo (current champion); Botafogo, Palmeiras, Internacional, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza, Corinthians and Bahia (Libertadores); Cruzeiro (9th in the Brazilian 2024); Santos (Serie B champion 2024); Paysandu (Green Cup champion); CRB (Vice of the Northeast Cup).
Another 20 teams arrived alive in the third phase: CSA, Vila Nova, Athletico-PR, Ceará, Maracanã-CE, Nautical, Grêmio, Capital-DF, Retro-PE, Worker-PR, Botafogo-PB, Red Bull Bragantino, Criciúma, Novorizontino, Maringá, Brusque, Fluminense, Atletico-MG, Vasco and Aparecidense. The pots were divided according to the national CBF club ranking.
Thus, the highest ranked teams were positioned in the pot A, whose opponents came out essentially from the pot B. The raffles of field command were also defined. For public security reasons, two teams from the same city do not send their games on the same date. Palmeiras, Corinthians and Sao Paulo decide their duels at home. Santos, in turn, will define the classification away from home.
