Chuchu, who is a career police officer, was also a candidate for vice mayor in last year’s election, with support from the Bolsonaro family, who is nearby.
The case would have occurred during a meeting between the then councilman and a journalist during a House session. In the reporter’s report, Chuchu would have threatened him during an argument, pointing to his weapon. The former alderman denies it.
The decision of the police office of filing the case was motivated by the fact that the journalist did not represent him within six months. There was also no cancellation of the mandate of the then parliamentarian.
“They used this fake news to denigrate me during the campaign and now I will sue all candidates who used this lie to win the election or help someone win,” he says.
He says he will sue Mayor Marcelo Lima (Somos) and former mayoral candidates Luiz Fernando Teixeira (PT) and Flávia Morando (União Brasil), for mentioning the fact in the campaign.
