Public Government dismissal of Minister Juscelino Filho

On Tuesday, 8, he asked to leave office after he was (PGR) on suspicion of corruption involving misappropriation of parliamentary amendments. The “at request” dismissal decree is signed by the acting president, Geraldo Alckmin.

Juscelino denies the irregularities. In an open letter released on Tuesday, the former minister denied the PGR charges and said he will prove his innocence in the Supreme Federal Court (STF). “Today I made one of the most difficult decisions of my public career. I asked President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva my dismissal from the position of Minister of Communications,” he wrote.

Now Juscelino returns to the House. He is a federal deputy for União Brasil do Maranhão. The new minister of the folder has not yet been chosen. The Ministry of Communications is part of the Union Brazil bench quota. With the departure of Juscelino, the name of the leader of the party of the house, Pedro Lucas Fernandes (MA), has been considered to be the holder of the ministry.
