The Ministry of Transport (MD) of the Slovak Republic will be able to limit or prohibit the implementation of civil flights in a designated part of the airspace of the Slovak Republic also to prevent the spread of contagious animal diseases. The amendment to the Civil Aviation Act (Aviation Act) was signed by President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini. The Transport Department prepared the proposal in connection with the disease of the clinker and the cranchi (SLAK).
“The current situation with a highly contagious viral disease Droba and Kriva has shown that it is not always possible to declare a prohibition or restriction of designated civilian flights for defense and safety reasons to prevent the spread of contagious animal diseases. The bill is the necessary legislation on the specification of a new reason to declare a prohibition or restriction of designated civilian flights in the designated part of the airspace of the Slovak Republic”Said the petitioner in the material.
The transport department recalled that the impact of transmissible animals and measures needed to control these diseases may be devastating for individual animals, animal holders, animal holders and economy. They may also have an impact on public health and food safety. The Ministry pointed out that such diseases can be transmitted not only by direct contact between animals or animals and people, but can also spread through air technology.
“Given the fact that diseases from the list require various control approaches and in many cases strict measures for their immediate eradication as soon as they occur in the given territory, it is necessary to introduce effective limitations to prevent the spread of the agents of these highly contagious diseases, including preventing their spread through air technology. A similar situation also applies to pests of plants, plant products and other objects when it is also necessary to take extraordinary emergency measures”Explained the transport department.
