US President Donald Trump on Tuesday in the White House gardens planted a new tree to replace almost 200-year-old magnolia. He called the new seedlings “maganolia” according to the abbreviation of its slogan “Make America Great Again” (let’s make America big), Informs TASR according to AFP.

Jackson’s magnolia, which was probably planted by the seventh US President Andrew Jackson in the 19th century, was collapsed on Monday for security reasons. The tree has been in poor condition since 1994, when a small plane crashed on the southern part of the presidential complex and flew into it.

The White House in his X post stated that Trump “planted a new seedlings of Maganolia – a direct descendant of the historic Jackson magnolia” in the White House. The seedling, which is 12 years old, comes from the original tree.

Jackson’s magnolia was the oldest tree in the White House. The seventh president dropped her in honor of his wife, who died just before his inauguration in 1829. AFP recalls that the White House gardens have already reached the title sides of the newspaper this year when Trump said he was planning to pave the lawn in the famous Pink Garden to resemble more terraces in its Mar-A-Lago Florida headquarters in Florida.
