Who has never felt that unexpected headache and asked, “What is my body trying to tell me?”

The truth is that not every headache is the same, and understanding the differences can help find the right relief faster.

If you always thought it was the only one to take a painkiller and wait for it to pass, get ready to find out what every type of pain can mean and how to identify your exact cause!

What headaches can indicate – and how to identify the exact cause

1. Tensional headache – The classic weight on the forehead

As it is: feeling of pressure or tightness on the forehead or neck, as if someone was squeezing his head.

Possible causes: stress, anxiety, poor posture and even lack of hydration.

Solution: Relax! Breathing, stretching and massage techniques can help.

2. Migraine – The villain of productivity

As it is: throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head, and can be accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound.

Possible causes: hormonal changes, prolonged fasting, caffeine or chocolate consumption, as well as genetic factors.

Solution: Avoid triggers, keep a diary to identify patterns and consult a specialist if the crises are frequent.

3. Sinus pain – The nose also suffers!

As it is: pain around the eyes, forehead and cheeks, getting worse when you lean forward.

Possible causes: sinus infection, allergies or sudden temperature changes.

Solution: Steam inhalation, nasal washing with saline and, in more severe cases, antibiotics.

4. Headache in saved – the most intense of all

As it is: unbearable and penetrating pain, usually in one eye and may cause tearing and clogged nose.

Possible causes: Not yet fully understood, but may be linked to the biological clock and neurological factors.

Solution: Specific oxygen treatments or medications prescribed by the doctor.

5. Caffeine headache – a vicious cycle

As it is: similar to tension pain, but it happens especially when there is coffee abstinence.

Possible causes: excessive consumption and abrupt suspension of caffeine.

Solution: reduce coffee gradually, drink plenty of water and regulate sleep.
