The Women’s Bench Office was officially inaugurated this Wednesday (9.ab.2025) in the Federal Senate. The ceremony was attended by the group leader, senator (PDT-DF), from the president of the High House, (Union-AP), and other congressmen who are part of female representation.
The space was proposed by the former president (PSD-MG). In his speech, Leila Barros thanked the president of the House and Senator Mineiro, stating that the 2 were with the female bench “At all crucial moments.”
“All this was only possible because we didn’t walk alone. At no time. Presidents Rodrigo Pacheco and David Alcolumbre were with us at all crucial moments. First, ensuring the structure of positions. Now, delivering this physical space symbol and thirst of our ideas, struggles and joints.”he declared.
The senator of the Federal District defined the trajectory of the female bench as “Maturation” and from “Protagonism”. Still was thrilled to say that “The future senators will find a structure of work, struggle and collective construction in the cabinet”.
Alcolumbre said that the women in the house “The Senate of the Republic is greatly magnified” and that space was a promise that “David and Rodrigo took over at the beginning of their mandates”.
