The co-founder of Bis Sigma Americas, Alessandro Valente, said the Bets CPI is welcome, but that the sector has been the target of joking comments. The statement was made during an interview with the podcast of Poder360 During the event in São Paulo.
“Every CPI is welcome […] I feel like they would have to come to such an event before starting. Among us from the industry, we are tired of seeing joking comments about the speech of certain senators for lack of knowledge ”said the executive, who has over 20 years of experience in the digital market.
Brave, recognized as one of the leading names in the Igaming sector in Latin America, also pointed out that entrepreneurs in the sector are charged, while those responsible for illegal operations are not detected. “It is no use for the industry to suffer accusations and those who do something wrong do not suffer punishments. I think impunity in Brazil is a problem.” defended.
For the expert, many gamblers opted for illegal sites due to high taxes in legalized operations. “The gambler will not think if it will reverse benefits to the sport or that specific modality”concluded.
The Brazilian Igaming Summit is the main meeting of companies and Igaming, Bettech and sports bets in Brazil. The event will take place from April 7 to 10, 2025 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, and brings together national and international experts to discuss the direction of regulation and business opportunities in the country.
