Operation entitled ‘Copy and Cola’ Met 28 Search and Seizure Warrants and has as one targets the mayor of the city, Rodrigo Manga (Republicans)
On the morning of Thursday (10), the Federal Police launched a large-scale operation in interior of with the objective of dismantling a criminal organization accused of diverting public resources for the health of the municipality. The action, called “Copy and Cola”, resulted in the fulfillment of 28 search and seizure warrants. Investigations were not limited to Sorocaba, also covering other cities in the region, such as Itapetininga and Votorantim, as well as Sao Paulo and Vitória da Conquista, in Bahia.
Among the main targets of the operation was the city of Sorocaba and the residence of Mayor Rodrigo Manga. Nationally known as “Mayor Tiktoker”, Manga also launched himself as a pre-candidate for the São Paulo government and the Presidency of the Republic. According to the Sorocaba Communication Secretariat, nothing was found or taken from the mayor’s office, located on the sixth floor of the city hall. However, details about what was found at the mayor’s residence have not yet been released.
The investigation, which began in 2022, focuses on a social organization hired to provide health services in Sorocaba. The “Copy and Cola” operation seeks to clarify the involvement of this organization in misunderstanding public resources. The action of the Federal Police in Sorocaba and in the other locations involved reflects the breadth and seriousness of the accusations, highlighting the importance of combating corruption and ensuring the correct application of resources destined for public health.
