Vegetables more sensitive to cold
However, there are also vegetables that, unfortunately, are not frost -resistant. They are recommended to the ground after May 15.
This list includes: celery, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, pumpkins, melons, cucumbers and marjoram. The celery on this list probably surprises many people. If the frost touches this plant several nights in a row, the celery will simply grow into flowers. This is because at low temperatures the plant will think it has already overwintered and will simply grow flower blossoms.
Growing vegetables under the foil
Sometimes we buy vegetable sprouts sensitive to frost believing that they will not freeze under the foil. Unfortunately, this is a false assumption unless you heat the foil at night. In fact, under the foil can be cooler than outside! It is sufficient to install thermometers with the ability to read the minimum and maximum values to make sure you make sure.
