The Ministry of Health’s shared services (SPMS) warned Wednesday to SMS messages sent on behalf of the National Health Service (NHS), which constitute a fraudulent scheme of obtaining personal data.
“These SMS represent a scheme of phishingthrough which an unknown actor intends to induce recipients to open links that refer to fraudulent pages on the internet, totally alien to the NHS, which aim to obtain personal data“The SPMs advanced.
In, this entity of the Ministry of Health also warns that the links “can also lead to the execution of virus No computer ”.
According to it, these fraudulent messages on behalf of the NHS refer to the need to update the registration, via computer, so as not to lose access to NHS health care from Thursday.
The SPMs also advanced that steps are being made from the competent entities, warning the users who, if they receive the messages in question, “do not access the link and delete SMS.”
“In case of suspicion of attempted fraud, citizens should report to police authorities,” the statement concludes.
