Palmeiras wins Cerro and continues with 100% use in Libertadores on a controversial celebration night

Palmeiras follows with perfect record at Conmebol Libertadores! On the night of Wednesday (9), Alviverde played his first game at Allianz Parque and beat Cerro Porteño 1-0, with goal from Richard Ríos.

The result leaves Abel Ferreira’s commanders isolated in the leading Grupo G, while the Paraguayans fall to 3rd place.

The match, however, did not start well for Alviverde. After 10 minutes, Raphael Veiga, who had been embezzled in his debut, felt shoulder pain and had to be replaced.

At 28, an unusual bid was fright at Cerro. Alone, goalkeeper Gatito Fernández felt pain in his thigh and had to receive medical attention.

With a rolling ball, Palmeiras suffered pressure in the first few minutes, but gradually began to take the reins of the match.
