New leader of the Block of the majority at, Arlindo Chinaglia (PT-SP) argues that parties that are opposed to the amnesty of those involved in January 8 immediately start mobilization as opposed to the attempted pockets to vote the project.
Captained by the PL, the movement seeks to press the president of the House of Representatives, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), to guide the bill.
“The attacks on President Hugo Motta have reached the absurdity of the PL leader wanting to have people speak in front of his house. Now Motta cannot accept the project even if he wants,” says Chinaglia, who is former president of the house.
He will lead a block formed by the largest parties of the house, usually aligned with the Lula administration, but not automatically linked to the executive.

According to Chinaglia, “democratic parties should take the field in two battles, inside and [da Câmara]”.
That is, work against the adhesion of deputies to the bill and also act with public opinion. “In the dosimetry of the penalties, many argue that it is actually increased,” he said.
The leader says he does not believe that Lula’s drop in popularity has a major effect on his chamber support arc. “This is a very strong attraction pole,” he says.
The government’s trajectory in the coming months is more uncertain. “Trump’s initiatives may be redefining the world order. We still have a lot of difficulties to evaluate,” he says.
