Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was admitted to the morning of Thursday (11) after feeling severe abdominal pain while traveling in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. The suspicion is that symptoms are related to the knife attack it suffered during the 2018 election campaign.

Bolsonaro entered the Aluízio Bezerra Municipal Hospital in Santa Cruz, and, after medical evaluation, was transferred by helicopter to Rio Grande Hospital in Natal. The aircraft landed in the Potiguar capital around 11:20 am.
According to allies, the former president has been showing signs of intestinal obstruction in recent days. The moment he was sick, he was on his way to the town of Tangará.
Bolsonaro’s trip to the Northeast is part of the “Route 22”, the Liberal Party (PL) initiative to strengthen his presence in the region. The project includes visits, workshops and seminars in various states, with Rio Grande do Norte as a starting point.
