Banking intend to reach consensus on the subject; Front of the free market defends change that flexes labor relations
The coalition of productive parliamentary fronts will meet on April 30 to discuss, which reduces working hours from 6 x 1 to 4 x 3. Federal deputies intend to reach consensus to advance the processing of a text that alter labor relations in Brazil.
The director of the Parliamentary Front of Free Market, Rodrigo Marinho, states that the liberal bench hopes to approve the deputy’s “PEC da Manus” (We can-RS). Here’s (PDF – 76kb). The text of the gaucho congressman flexes the working hours regime, instead of obliging the 4 x 3 regime, such as the proposition of the deputy (PSOL-SP).
Marinho is a critic of the Psolist proposal and accuses her of being “Authoritarian” against the workers.
“In practice, what the left is wanting with this proposal is thatBrazilian ODO work at 4 x 3. But what if I want to work 6 x 1? You are required to work 4 x 3. This is an authoritarianism, Of violence against the absurd working choice, this is not a positive agenda. This is a violence because you take the freedom of choice of the worker ”told Rodrigo Marinho to Poder360.
Erika Hilton, however, says that her PEC is a popular claim that aims to improve people’s working conditions and quality of life.
Currently, the Federal Constitution allows hours of up to 8 hours per day, totaling 44 hours per week. This is what changes with each proposal:
- PEC from Erika Hilton – Compulsorly changes the work scale from 6 x 1 to 4 x 3. That is, if you work 4 days and break 3. The text limits the daily occupation to 8 hours and a week to 46 hours;
- Maurício Marcon PEC – makes the work regime optional. It would go from 6 x 1 to limited to 8 hours daily and 44 weekly to be defined among employers and employees. It would also allow salaries to be paid per hour, as in the United States.
ERIKA ARTICULATION FOR PROJECT APPROVAL
The expectation of Deputy Erika Hilton is that, in the legislature of 2025, the mayor, (Republicans-SP), accelerate the processing of the text.
She stated that she hopes to meet with Deputy Paraíba in the coming days to discuss the process of eventual approval in the House.
The deputy (PSOL-SP) stated during the press conference that he will seek support from the president’s government (PT) for the approval of PEC. Erika said she was articulating with PP, MDB, PSD, PSDB and União Brasil to approve the text.
To increase pressure on change, PSOL has called a protest against the 6 x 1 work scale on May 1st and 2nd. The caption asked workers to go to the streets on May 1 and, on May 2, to extend the May 1 holiday and stay home the next day.
