A Colombian was stabbed to death at dawn on Friday (11) in Porto Alegre in a fight between Atlético Nacional fans. Another fan was sent to the hospital in a very serious condition.
The incident took place in the Cidade Baixa neighborhood, near the Beira-Rio stadium, shortly after the Colombian team’s 3-0 defeat to Internacional for the Libertadores group stage.
The fans of Atletico Nacional, team of the city of Medellin, were in Porto Alegre to accompany the match.
There is still no information on the reason for the fight. According to the Military Brigade, two distinct calls were recorded last night, both related to the same incident and with a break of minutes.
The first call reported that a man had been injured with a stab of chest -length white gun on Rua da República, a traditional bars and cafeterias frequented by fans.
When the agents arrived at the scene, they were informed that the victim had been placed in an application car and was on his way to the HPS (Emergency Hospital).
Along the way, the driver stopped at a policing point, where Samu teams were fired and confirmed the death of the fans at the scene. The victim was identified as 27 -year -old Alejandro Lopera Zuluaga.
Already the second call reported that another man had suffered white weapon injuries to his legs in a bar.
He was taken by Samu to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery, according to the latest information released on his health.
The Civil Police investigates the case and has heard the testimony of other fans who witnessed the conflict.
Another episode of violence during the Libertadores round left two dead on Thursday night (10) in Santiago, Chile. The riot occurred when a group of fans tried to invade the monumental stadium of Colo-Colo to watch the match against Fortaleza.
The game began at the scheduled time despite the conflict around the stadium, but was eventually interrupted by 65 minutes by Uruguayan referee Gustavo Tejera after colo-colo fans broke into the lawn.
