The Association of Private Doctors (ASL) of the Slovak Republic considers compensation for a violation of the measures taken to protect public health as unacceptable. Adoption of the Act on the so -called. According to her, Covid’s amnesty follows the denial of scientifically proven facts concerning the pandemic. “Equally unacceptable is the negative impact of this budget law, just at the time of consolidation, when our outpatient clinics are solving existential problems,” added the Association on the Social Network.

Let’s stop corruption He calls on the President of the Slovak Republic Petr Pellegrini not to sign the Act on the so -called. Covid’s amnesty. It is a dangerous precedent that undermines confidence in justice and gives the impression that laws in Slovakia do not apply equally to everyone. TASR informed the communication specialist of the Norbert Chomistek Foundation.

“This law is a slap for all decent people who behaved responsibly at the time of the pandemic to protect people – to wear a veil, followed prohibitions of arising or quarantine measures. Do they now look at how the state pays compensation to those who have not respected the rules? This is not how the rule of law does not imagine,”Said the director of the foundation Zuzana Petková.

She pointed out that thousands of fines imposed by the police, self -government or regional public health authorities were forgiven by law. Also, people will receive money back on the basis of an affidavit, which is easy to misuse according to the Foundation. “The law indirectly legitimizes the violation of the rules and sends a message that responsible behavior is not paid. For future crisis situations – whether pandemics or another threat – this may have fatal consequences, ” Petková points out.

According to the Foundation, the law was adopted without any reflection against those who lost their close health in hospitals and rescue services during the pandemic. The Foundation therefore considers the approval of the law to be amoral.

He therefore calls on the President not to sign the law. It may be a clear signal that in Slovakia the same rules apply to everyone and that the state honors responsibility, not excuses. “Do not sign a law that rewards indifference and undergoes the foundations of the rule of law,” the foundation added.

On Wednesday (April 9), the National Council of the Slovak Republic approved a law according to which a person who received a fine for violating anti-paramic measures in connection with Covid-19 or had to pay food in state quarantine facilities will be able to claim compensation. Efficiency is proposed from 1 May 2025. The opposition also calls on the President to veto the law. In response to this, the Head of State stated for TASR that he would be carefully acquainted with the law after its delivery and subsequently to take its constitutional decision.
