Fux releases case of Debora for trial in the STF – 10/04/2025 – Brasilia Today

The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), concluded on Thursday (10) the analysis of the case of and returned the process for analysis of the first class.

The complaint says that Deborah committed crimes against multitudinary democracy – a concept of criminal law that refers to crimes committed by a rioting multitude.

The PGR understands that in this type of crime, each person who acted in the attack on the headquarters of powers had the same goal: to force the armed forces to give a coup against President Lula (PT).

Fux announced that he would review the lawsuit against Deborah during the trial that made former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) defendant and seven others for the 2022 coup plot.

“Minister Alexandre, in his work, explained the conduct of each of the people. And I confess that on certain occasions I come across an exacerbated penalty. And that’s why, giving satisfaction to you, that I asked for a view of this case. I want to analyze the context in which this lady was,” said Fux.

The minister stated that the legislature has established high penalties for crimes against democracy, with “great concern so that we do not have the same indifference to our past period.”

But he pointed out that the fixation of the dosimetry of the penalties is the responsibility of the magistrate. “Under the toga beats a man’s heart, so we need to have this ability to reflect.”

. Members of the court stated, under reserve, that the minister accompanied Moraes in all 500 convictions related to the attacks of January 8 – and soon in the most media case, in a trial transmitted on television, his change in stance announced.

She then said she returned to the camp in front of the Army headquarters, which she had been since Saturday (7), when she arrived from Campinas (SP).
