The chief minister of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, (), criticized on Thursday (10) deputies who signed urgent requests to the bill that amnesty those involved in the scammers of 8 January.
She called the congressmen “unsuspecting” and stated that the vote of this project would create an institutional crisis due to the content of the amnesty, which, according to her, would benefit the former president () and other military personnel involved in the coup plot to prevent the possession of (PT).
On the other hand, the petista admitted that a discussion should be held for amnesty or penalty reduction for those involved in the attacks.
“I trust the president’s word a lot [da Câmara] that this project will not vote, because if it is, it creates an institutional crisis, as he said. I think the signatures that some parliamentarians are making the parties, there are many who are even unsuspecting about the content of the project, “said the minister.
“[Alguns] They really want a mediation with those penalties for those who participated in those acts of January 8, but the project that is there, I will repeat here, is a project that gives amnesty to Bolsonaro and generals. This is not explicit when we talk to some parliamentarians, “he added.
Gleisi said that talking about amnesty or reduction of penalty to those involved is defensible, even from the point of view of several deputies and senators, and stressed that it is necessary to discuss the issue in.
“What cannot happen is an amnesty to those who led the process of the coup in the country. To Bolsonaro, the generals, those who were responsible for planning and even planned an operation called Green and Yellow dagger that predicted the death of President Lula, Vice President Alckmin, Minister Alexandre de Moraes. This can never happen.”
To date, the petista’s stance has been contradicted any flexibility of penalty or forgiveness to those involved in the attacks.
“In fact, talking about amnesty or mediation of penalty or reduction of penalty compared to some people in January 8, I think it is fully defensible from the point of view of many parliamentarians who are there, we may even have to make this discussion even in Congress,” he concluded.
After the statements, Gleisi reinforced the position in favor of Bolsonaro’s punishment in an X-publication, stating that the former president wants Amnesty for himself and not for “the ice cream” or the “Lipstick Girl”, in reference to Débora Rodrigues dos Santos, who crashed the statue of justice during the acts.
“It is to face the judiciary that Bolsonaro wants a previous amnesty, before being tried,” he wrote.
