“I understand that this debate can and should be done in society, including Congress, as it has been happening, but without interfering with the autonomy of the judiciary,” wrote Gleisi in X (former Twitter). The statement tries to contain the negative repercussion after the minister has signaled the day before, that Parliament could discuss any decreases of penalty.
