Greenya asks the Allies for ten Patriot systems to protect civilians and draws attention to the presence of Chinese soldiers fighting alongside Russia.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Genskyj said on Friday that Ukraine needs ten other Patriot air defense systems to protect civilians. He called on his allies to make progress on the possible deployment of military forces in the country and again informed about hundreds of Chinese soldiers who are fighting alongside Russia on the Ukrainian front. TASR reports, according to AFP and Reuters reports.
Greens spoke through an online call to a group of allies of Ukraine Ramstein. “You know that Ukraine has a lack of air defense systems. You know that patriot systems can effectively protect against ballistic threats. I ask you to focus first of all on Ukraine’s air defense.
Allies’ defense
Connected com also told that the possible deployment of military forces in Ukraine after stopping the fighting could act as a deterrent against possible future Russian attacks. “We need to define clear details regarding the size, structure, layout, logistics, maintenance, equipment and armament of this security contingent in Ukraine,” the Ukrainian president said.
Greeding on Friday again spoke about the presence of Chinese soldiers on the Ukrainian front. “From now on, we have information that at least a few hundred Chinese citizens fought as part of the Russian occupation forces … This means that Russia is clearly trying to extend the war – even using Chinese lives,” he said.
Allegations and reactions
Kiev said this week that his forces in the Donetsk region were captured by two Chinese citizens fighting for Moscow. Zelenskyj then accused Russia of engaging Beijing in the invasion. The Kremlin denied the claims of Ukraine.
The war between Ukraine and Russia has been going on for more than three years, and although the countries have agreed on a partial ceasefire in the Black Sea, the attacks on both sides continue.
