Clovis Abreu, who was fled for over a year, saw his sentence of Prison be reduced to six years, being acquitted of the crime of qualified homicide in the death of the PSP agent in 2022.
The mother of the PSP agent shared on social networks the revolt for the acquittal of Clovis Abreu for the death of her son, describing the decision as “unfair and revolting.”
“I just feel like screaming. An unfair and revolting decision. Where for justice in our country?” Wrote Elsa Guerra, na rede social Facebook.
Fábio Guerra’s mother also said that Clovis Abreu “left happy” from where her son was brutally assaulted.

Three years after the fateful night in Alcântara

Clovis Abreu, the third suspect in the death of police Fabio Guerra, had been sentenced in November 2024 to 14 years in prison for murder, two attempted murder and two offenses to physical integrity offense.
Clovis Abreu was fled more than a year to court and only presented to the authorities in September last year, being in pre -trial detention.
The defendant’s defense contested that he was fled to the authorities, attributing to the Public Prosecution Service the responsibility for taking almost a year to notify Clovis Abreu.
