The government has not been able to handle the situation with the disease of the clinseed and the coffers, so it should take personnel responsibility and dismiss the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Richard Takáč (Smer-SD). Government failures are particularly visible in slow introduction of measures compared to neighboring countries. On Friday, opposition MPs from the KDH said this at a press conference.
“First we warned the chief veterinarian that we think he did not take effective and sufficient measures to prevent the infection from getting into the territory of Slovakia. The measures issued by the Poor were not followed and the infection has spread to other farms.
In the first focus of the infection in the village of Baka, the three -kilometer circle of strict surveillance of the epicenter of the Slintec and Krivačka had to be set out, while all the farms in this circle were spent. Čaučík stressed that this regulation was not issued by the European Commission, but the Chief Veterinarian of the Slovak Republic, which was also confirmed by Takáč. He also criticized the Minister of Agriculture from the concealment of information on the possible infection of livestock and the new outbreak of the disease on the farm near Jurová, where the measures were not set up and eventually the infection was confirmed there.
“It is not normal that the potential outbreaks of infection are not normal, it is not normal that everything that is moving is in one fireplace and others are just tested. It is not normal for private veterinarians and professional associations to be excluded from the Crisis Staff. It is not normal for the loss of livestock to be appreciated completely differently for minors and for large farms, all this raises large questionnaires,“Added Čaučík.
The government plans to compensate for farmers of small and big breeds at the same amount, but according to the opposition MP of KDH Jozef Humenský, this will be diametrically different. In the case of a thousandkus herd, it should be compensation of seven to ten million euros, which is EUR 7000 to EUR 10,000 per piece of farm. Within the three -kilometer circle, 32 domestic breeds were destroyed, which should receive compensation of EUR 30,000, which is a different amount from him the government presented.
“Also in the central register of contracts, there are contracts for compensation per piece of EUR 738. Therefore, we ask, as it seems that the compensation will be diametrically different for small breeding and large breeding or medium farms, what are the conditions, what will be a form of compensation, what are the specified values for a single piece of cattle”Concluded Humenský.
