The 8th Battalion of the Military Police, based in Madureira Seine, continues to develop an inspection work on BR-364, between Sena and Rio Branco and Sena and Manoel Urbano in unopened places and times. The main goal is to combat crime, above all, drug trafficking and illegal possession of firearms.
In recent weeks, the actions have been successful, where narcotics seizures have been made and some accused of drug trafficking have been captured. More recently, dozens of smuggled cigarettes were also seized in this stretch between Sena Madureira and Rio Branco.
Only Earth Access Road Sena Madureira, the BR-364 is used by criminals trying to transport drugs not only to Seine but also to Manoel Urbano and other municipalities.
Road inspection, as a rule, is an assignment of the Federal Highway Police (PRF). However, the PM has been doing such work because the PRF does not have enough team to keep barriers daily on the highway.
