Transaction tax is harmful to Slovak companies at a very unsuitable moment. We have a business war, Trump’s duties, and we need to do everything we can to diversify and support our economy. Experiments with the domestic economy implemented by the current government must be stopped immediately and returned to professional solutions. Michal Truban from Progressive Slovakia (PS) stressed on Friday at a press conference.
“Our pressure makes sense and also has real results. We don’t think Andrej Danko or anyone in the coalition would propose or want to modify a transaction tax without our pressure. According to Marek Lackovič (PS), transactional tax is not only influenced by companies, but also on local governments in Slovakia. It also commented on the amendment to the Act on Budgetary Determination of the Territorial Self -Government Income Tax revenue, which the deputies of the National Council of the Slovak Republic definitively approved on Thursday, April 10 and on the basis of which the municipalities will receive an advance in May in the share of tax revenues of EUR 150 million. “Today we can see that their income loss of income is trying to glue advances, which means that they will release part of their own money in advance in May in advance, which they would receive anyway in the second half of 2025, ” He explained Lackovič.
In connection with the amendment to the Act on Budgetary Determination of the Territorial Self -Government Income Tax, MEPs did not vote on several opposition amendments to cancel the newly introduced financial transaction tax.
