Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) will be transferred to Air UCA to Brasilia, Senator and former Minister Rogério Marinho (PL-RN) said.
“They understood that there is a need to move him to Brasilia,” said the parliamentarian, referring to the medical team that deals with the former president. The transfer, in mobile ICU, should be made early in the afternoon to the DF Star Hospital. “The president is well, lucid, stable, quiet,” added Marinho.
Claudio Birolini, a surgeon who has been working at the São Paulo Hospital das Clínicas and has been with Bolsonaro since 2018, arrived at Natal today at dawn to accompany the former president. The decision to transfer it came from the doctor.
Bolsonaro was hospitalized after feeling severe abdominal pain at dawn on Friday (11), due to a partial obstruction of the large intestine. He was hastily treated in a public hospital in Santa Cruz, in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, and then taken by helicopter to the Potiguar capital.
Bolsonaro is in the state for his first agenda of Route 22, a liberal party caravan on January 8, 2023. He would pass on Friday through the cities of Acari, Oiticica and Pau dos Ferros. He even participated in an act in Bom Jesus, but was hospitalized following.
The former president has a part of partial obstruction of the intestine, which makes liquids and food from the small intestine to the large intestine difficult, as well as the release of gases and feces.
“This is what causes abdominal distension and the pain he was feeling,” said yesterday (11) Luiz Roberto Fonseca, medical director of Rio Grande Hospital in Natal, where the president is still hospitalized. “The painting inspires care, but does not show signs of greater severe at the moment,” added the medical director.
The condition now faced by Bolsonaro is related, according to allies, with the stab suffered by the then presidential candidate in September 2018. Since then, he has had five surgeries.
