After this Friday (11), entities of the Black Movement urgently ask for the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), the Organization of American States (OAS), in investigations against the governor (Republicans) and their Secretary of Public Security (PP).
The request is endorsed by entities by 66 entities, and among them are UneAfro Brasil, Unified Black Movement (MNU), Institute of Black Reference Peregum, Amparar Network, Black Initiative.
In December the entities had already made complaints to the OAS commission due to the escalation of police lethality in.
“There is a standard of action by the Military Police of Freitas and Derrite. This pattern is the result of a policy, which has been implemented daily on the streets. These two are directly responsible for the brutal murder of Ngange Mbaye,” says Douglas Belchior, director of the Black Peregum Reference Institute.
Belchior also criticized the performance of the prosecutor. “We cannot watch the daily slaughter promoted by the São Paulo PM. We reaffirmed the complaint and demand immediate action by the OAS, but we want the institutions of São Paulo to fulfill its role. The prosecutor continues to omit,” says Belchior.
