Sowing and pre -cultivation of seedlings of peppers

Growing peppers begins with sowing. This is because you should start germination of seeds at the end of February or early March. The seeds need at least 25 degrees to germinate and enough light. The substrate is light, little nutritious. And it is important to maintain temperature and humidity. Therefore, it is advisable to cover containers with seeds – for example, food foil or plastic. After the seedlings have at least two right leaves, you can sort them and move them into individual containers. These can then remain on the inner window sill, or you can move them to a hotbed, greenhouse or foil.

If you have not grown seeds, then you will have to rely on seedlings purchased in horticulture later. This is also possible and easy. However, you pay something extra for each plant.

When can peppers on the flower bed?

You can start to fertilize fertilizers for fetal vegetables. Remember, however, that fertilizers are by no means used after the plant is transplanted. Give each plant for at least 14 days to take root. Otherwise, there is a risk of burning it.

It is advisable to harden the peppers before moving seedlings or purchased plants. Ideally, leave them a few hours a day in a cooler but not dark place outside. This will prepare them for temperature differences.

It is advisable to move seedlings to the final habitat, or to the protected flower bed or into the greenhouse, to the frozen, ie in the second half of May. You can move them into the greenhouse or foil before, because the plants will definitely not suffer frosts. On the other hand, there is nowhere to hurry, because as it is seen, temperature fluctuations are really large, which can harm thermophilic plants. So how to navigate? Plants comply with temperatures between 20 and 30 ° C, never the temperature should drop below 13 ° C. This is essential and follow the planting accordingly.

Peppers are planted on a nice sunny habitat, in a high -quality, permeable but humous substrate -rich substrate. Plants should have enough space. Therefore, plant them with spacing of 30 to 40 cm between seedlings.

During growth, peppers will need regular watering, especially during flowering and putting on the fetus. The soil should still be slightly damp but not waterlogged.

To promote health, resistance and lushness of plants, use fertilizers that will support the plant in the growth of green, but also the stick of flowers and fruits. Paprika really likes nitrogen -rich fertilizers and does not mind her in any stage of growth. Therefore, from nitrogen natural fertilizers you can try for example nettle classes or cakes from hen.

For high varieties of peppers, it is suitable to support the branching of the plant and also a larger crop. Let the plants bloom until they are strong enough. Therefore, it is recommended to break the first flower.

Paprik seedlings often do not need support. They are strong enough and firm to kidnap their fruits. Prepare to the fact that IU peppers are harvested continuously and the plant then puts on the flower and produces until the end of the season.
