Six out of 10 Brazilians support a reduction in working hours

Interviewees cite improvement in quality of life and productivity between benefits created by reducing the journey

Specifically asked about the known 6 x 1 scale PEC, under analysis in the House of Representatives, which deals with the reduction of the maximum weekly working hours to 36 hours, 4 days of work and 3 days off, without the reduction of salary, the opinion of the interviewees was:

  • 63% a favor;
  • 31% contra;
  • 4% No Contra is not the favorite;
  • 3% They couldn’t answer.

Most (42%) also said that the change would be positive for the country; 30%, negative; 22%would make no difference; And 6%, I couldn’t answer.

If the reduction in the workday became a reality, 47% said they would use the free time of work to dedicate themselves to family; pay attention to health (25%); to do extra income (22%); and invest in courses e Professional Training (17%).
