Opposition Progressive Slovakia (PS) believes that At least some coalition deputies will not participate in the breakthrough of the announced sentence of the President of the Slovak Republic Petr Pellegrini A amendment to the law, which regulates early severance and retirement pension for prosecutors will never take effect. This was stated by the Member of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic Branislav Vančo (PS) in response to the President’s statements in the discussion session TVR Dialogues.
“The fact that the President announces his veto of Žilinka’s lifetime annuity is further evidence that no one understands why the Attorney General should receive a lifetime annuity. And after four years in office, without serving the entire seven -year term, ”said Vančo.
In his words, it is clear that the aim of the coalition was to “apply” and get the Attorney General of the Slovak Republic Maroš Žilinka from office. “They want to put their even more loyal prosecutor General, which is absolutely unacceptable,” added the deputy.
The President has reservations under the amendment to the Act to do so that the Attorney General acquires a retirement pension after four years of term of office. He will return the amendment to Members to the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
