Victim was identified as Alejandro Lopera Zuluaga, 27; Another man, who would have started the confrontation, is hospitalized in serious condition
A fan of died after being stabbed in a fight between two organized from the Colombia Club itself, at dawn on Friday, in Porto Alegre. Shortly before, Medellin’s team had been defeated for the hair. The victim was identified as 27 -year -old Alejandro Lopera Zuluaga. Another man, who would have started the confrontation, is hospitalized in serious condition. According to the Military Brigade, the fight would have happened in the Cidade Baixa neighborhood, Bohemian region of Porto Alegre, near the Beira-Rio stadium. Alejandro was stabbed, and the author fled. The victim was rescued by friends and placed in an application driver’s car who was forced to take him toward HPS.
During the route, however, the vehicle stopped at a policing point of the Military Brigade. Samu was called to confirm death. In an interview with RBSTV, the driver said Alejandro was already dead when he was placed in his car and had his cell phone “arrested” by the fans who would help Alejandro to avoid an escape. Shortly thereafter, the Military Brigade received a second call on a stabbing in a bar. The victim was the man who struck the blows against Alejandro, who had been persecuted in retaliation
An ambulance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) took him to the Emergency Room Hospital (HPS), where he arrived in serious condition and underwent surgery. The Department of Homicides and Personnel Protection (DHPP) of the Rio Grande do Sul Civil Police investigates the case. The initial objective of the investigation is to identify more involved. The Colombian club did not comment on the case. Conmebol also did not comment on the death of the fan. Earlier, in Chile, the Confederation canceled the match between Colo-Colo and Fortaleza after the confirmation of two deaths and a confusion that began outside the stadium and even invaded the field, between Chilean fans and the police.
Atlético Nacional’s two main fans have a rivalry with each other. In the very match of Thursday night, won by Inter by 3-0, the visiting sector was divided, with a removal between members of Los Der Sur and Los Piratas.
The first, founded in 1997, is entitled “A Barra do Atlético Nacional”. Los der Sur (“southern”) are in the southern stands of the Atanasio Girardot stadium, home of the Medellin club. The group had more than one case of internal dissent. Los Piratas was born in 2003. For 20 years, the organizer lived peacefully with Los Der Sur. The relationship of each group with Atlético Nacional leaders, but led them to break in 2023. Los Piratas members no longer occupy the southern sector at the Colombian stadium ever since. Prior to Thursday’s match, Inter reported to the Military Brigade about the situation after being alerted by Atletico Nacional. It was then set up a scheme for the separation of the two groups, which remained until the dispersion of the fans at the exit of the stadium.
