Acre’s security forces intensified the searches for 59 -year -old Gilberto Gomes da Silva, known as “Ceará”. He is appointed as the perpetrator of the brutal crime who took the lives of his former partner, Janice Rocha de Lima, 41, last Wednesday (9), in the Six de Agosto neighborhood, in Rio Branco. The court ordered his pre -trial detention.

According to investigations conducted by the Specialized Police Station for Women’s Assistance (Deam), the bricklayer would have invaded the victim’s apartment under the influence of alcohol, demanding that she reacts the relationship. After his wife deny, he murdered her with firearm shots. Janice’s son Jonathas Lima Rocha, 19, was also shot but survived.

After committing the crime, Gilberto fled and has been on the run since. Witnesses reported that he would have fled the same motorcycle used during the attack. In an act of intimidation, he sent a video to the victim’s son threatening to kill other family members.
The searches have the support of teams from Rio Branco and neighboring municipalities, which are mobilized in an attempt to capture the accused. The population can collaborate with information that leads to Gilberto’s whereabouts anonymously, through numbers 190 and 181, or directly in police stations and units of the Military Police.
