The founder of the software company Unicorn himself piloted a small sports helicopter. According to Vladimír Kovář, the machine fell from a height of about 120 meters.
On Saturday, a small sports helicopter crashed into the field about 20 meters from the road near Kralovice in the Pilsen region. They informed that the machine was piloted by a Czech millionaire and founder of the software company Unicorn Vladimír Kovář. Fortunately, he escaped from the event only with minor injuries.
“The accident occurred shortly before 1 pm near the village of Hrádecko. The accident was notified of the Institute for professional survey of the causes of air accidents,” said police spokeswoman Barbora Šmaterová. After the helicopter, Kovář communicated with the rescuers. The breath test for alcohol at the pilot was negative.
The circumstances of the accident
Kovář from the Pilsen Hospital bed confirmed the accident for the Czech. He also stated what preceded the accident. He said he turned slowly to the left before I land in Strachovice. Probably a sudden gust of the wind brought him the air, which himself swirled with a helicopter. He described that he fell from a height of about 120 meters. “I couldn’t do a lot. In three seconds I was on the ground.”
People from the village and later also an ambulance and a rescue helicopter came to help him, who were transported to Pilsen hospital.
In the past, one of the richest Czechs bought part of the airport and has his own school where people learn to fly with helicopters. Vladimír Kovář claims that yesterday’s life was saved by a helicopter construction.
“He missed the speed at a certain height. Then nothing could be done and the machine collapsed to the ground. It was a mistake that could happen. Seconds were playing a role.
