Classic Roman roast in cabbage leaves It is simply tastier than in the traditional edition. During baking, it does not lose moisture, making it very juicy after cutting. You don’t have to eat cabbage, in which meat is baked – the top leaves are usually heavily baked. However, if you use a few more, those with deeper layers can be a tasty snack.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 750 g of pork shoulder,
- 5 eggs,
- 1 Cajezerka’s stale,
- 3-4 cloves of garlic,
- 1 onion,
- 1 red pepper,
- 1 tablespoon of marjoram,
- 1 teaspoon of sweet pepper,
- ½ teaspoon of hot peppers,
- salt, pepper (to taste),
- 1 tablespoon of clarified butter,
- some rapeseed oil,
- Several large cabbage leaves.
You can serve a ready dish with cooked potatoes with dill, and white or red cabbage salad. They will also fit here too Silesian noodles and the addition of well -seasoned beets. If you serve this dish on the Easter table, it is worth serving it with beetle with horseradishor horseradish with mayonnaise, will also taste great.
Soak the kaiser in a small amount of water or milk. Cook 4 eggs for one and a half – about 6 minutes from the moment the water boils. When the eggs cool down, peel them with shells. Grind the meat with a machine with medium mesh.
Peel and chop the onion and garlic finely. Remove the seed nest from the pepper and cut it into cubes. Fry the onion and peppers in butter. At the end of frying, add garlic.
Combine the meat in a bowl, squeezed from excess liquid kaiser, vegetables from the pan (together with butter), 1 raw egg and spices – marjoram and both peppers. Make ingredients with a hand to a homogeneous mass. Season with salt and pepper at the end.
Wash and dry the cabbage leaves. Remove hard parts from them. Lightly, grease the leaves with oil and put them in a 25 cm long cake. You can also put them in a rectangle on a baking paper lined with a baking tray.
Put half the meat on the cabbage list, forming a rectangle narrower than a rectangle from cabbage leaves. Spread on the meat in a row (through the center) eggs. Put the rest of the meat on top. Wrap them tightly with cabbage leaves.
Put the roast in the oven preheated to 180 ° C. Bake for about an hour.
