Liverpool pays tribute to the victims of Hillsborough’s tragedy

Next Tuesday (15), the tragedy of Hillsborough, which victimized 97 Liverpool fans and also injured 766 people, turns 36.

Reds fans were eventually trampled inside Sheffield Stadium in the match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest for the 1989 England Cup semifinal in the biggest tragedy in English football.

In memory of the victims of the case, this Sunday (13), before the ball rolled in the match between Liverpool and West Ham by, tributes were held at Anfield.

Prior to the game against West Ham, the fans made a mosaic in the amphield stands with number 97, alluding to the number of fatal victims of the Hillsborough tragedy.

In addition, a minute of silence was also respected, with the presence of family members of people who lost their lives in the 1989 England Cup semifinal and Reds idols, such as former striker Kenny Dalglyish.
