Russia attacked the Ukrainian city on Sunday morning. Two Russian ballistic missiles hit the city center itself, located in the northeast of the country approximately 30 kilometers from the Russian border. Local authorities report at least 21 dead and dozens of injured.

“Many dead as a result of a rocket attack,” Mayor Artem Kobzar wrote on social networks, adding that “the enemy again hit civilians”.

“Presents and cops arrived at the scene of the misfortune in the first minutes. Many victims. According to preliminary reports, 21 people and at least 20 people were injured. People were hit directly on the street, cars, public transport, houses,”

According to the updated data of the Ministry of the Interior, the number of injured increased to 83 people.

Shots on social networks showed destroyed cars and rising smoke. Several videos also show victims.

“Enemy shots hit an ordinary city street, ordinary life: houses, educational institutions, cars on the street … On the day people go to church: Flower Sunday, the feast of the Lord’s entrance to Jerusalem,” wrote Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj on Facebook.

The video was also published by the President of Ukraine. Please note that some shots are not suitable for sensitive nature:

“Such an attack on a great Christian holiday is an absolute turning point,” also Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, who also said that information about the Russian attack Ukraine will share with partners and international institutions.

The amounts lie near the Russian borders and have been facing increasing pressure recently since Moscow has pushed out most of the Ukrainian troops from their Kursk region beyond the border.

The Russian missile attack hit residential buildings, health facilities and school in the city of sums at the end of March. Dozens of people suffered injuries in the attack.

This is another Russian attack that has claimed dozens of civilian victims in the last few days. At the beginning of April, a rocket attack on a settlement in Kryvyj Rih lost 20 people, including 9 children.
