The anticipation of next year’s electoral race, with at least three allies of (Republicans) articulating for the dispute for, displeased the governor, who decided to frame his group and remember that the candidate for the government is him.
The reinforcement took place in the midst of the mayor of the capital, (), the secretary of government and president of, and the president of Alesp (Legislative Assembly), André do Prado (), to present themselves as options to succeed Tarcisio in 2026.
Among allies, there are reports of sour climate between the governor and these names, with speculation about a distance from Tarcisio from them – the palace of the Bandeirantes denies indisposition.
Especially in the case of Nunes, the speculation was fed by the absence of Tarcisio at a city event that took place last Thursday (10).
The ceremony had the presentation of a package of works that should give the tonic of Nunes’ second term, including bus corridors, construction of new roads and a tram in the historic center. To put weight to the event, the mayor’s team chose the Municipal Theater as a place of the announcement.
The governor’s surroundings alleged agenda questions, and Tarcisio chose to participate in the delivery of beds at Santa Casa de Misericórdia, 1.6 km away at the same time. The Bandeirantes Palace informs that Nunes was invited to attend the event.
Before that, according to allies, Tarcisio and Nunes had already talked about succession. On the 1st, the governor summoned his secretariat for an alignment meeting, in which he stressed that he will be a candidate for reelection-not to the presidency, as speculated in the face of the ineligibility of the former president (PL), his political godfather.
At the meeting, Tarcisio was emphatic in saying that he works for his reelection and asked the message to be passed on by the group to third parties. The individual conversation with the mayor took place by telephone after this collective message.
Kassab also heard the warning. His relationship with the governor, when the secretary began to move. In a meeting with mayors, for example, Tarcisio did not present him as an interlocutor to sign partnerships with the state, a function attributed to the folder.
Behind the scenes, the governor began to say that Kassab inflated the PSD by promising control of the public machine to mayors who were joining the party – it should be that, in his assessment, the secretary could not comply.
The governor also had the same conversation with André do Prado, whose work in search of the candidacy is the most distant from the public.
The president of Alesp talks about his plans to try the government to other state deputies since last year. However, in the face of Tarcisio’s reactions to the subject, he has been keeping the theme out of his speeches and reserves him only to behind the scenes conversations.
An advisor said to Sheetunder reserve, that the governor fears that his appearance alongside those interested in the São Paulo government in 2026 is seen as an endorsement to candidacies.
According to this ally, Tarcisio does not want to pass to Bolsonaro the image of someone who makes a double game, as he has declared support for the former president’s candidacy in 2026 and reinforced that, if he does not leave a candidate, he will accept any indicated by his political godfather.
How it showed the Sheetthe governor prefers the reelection, but has told allies that he would accept a candidacy for Planalto if Bolsonaro asked.
In the reelection scenario, at least André do Prado and Kassab still have room for articulations, in the evaluation of group allies, but in search of the appointment for the position of deputy, now occupied by Felício Ramuth (PSD).
Tarcisio works to have PL, PSD and MDB with him, as well as the center right legends who negotiate mergers to the election, such as PP, Union, Somos and PSDB. The position of vice is expected to be at the table in the sewing of the alliance, since subtitles like União discuss alternatives – as an candidacy of influencer Pablo Marçal, today at PRTB.
At least within the government, the Order of Tarcisio has been fulfilled. Last week, during an event to promote coffee -related tourist routes, the secretary of the Civil House, Arthur Lima, the governor’s right -hand man, said to journalists: “Do you see? He will be a candidate for reelection,” while Tarcisio was harassed by rural producers and city hall staff who filled the Bandeirantes auditorium.
