The Manuel Bivar Garden, in Faro, is the scene of a celebration of national flavors with the 10th edition of the Fair of Cheese, Wines and Sticks, which runs from 16 to 20 April. Organized by this event consolidated in the Algarve gastronomic calendar brings together the best of Portuguese tradition, in an environment of conviviality, tasting and discovery.
For five days, about thirty exhibitors from various regions of the country will present a careful selection of cheese, sausages and wines. Among the highlighted products are the prestigious cheese of Serra da Estrela and Serpa, the artisanal sausages of Alentejo and a careful representation of regions such as Algarve, Alentejo, Douro, Tagus, Dão, Bairrada and Beira Interior. Many of these products have DOP certification and have already collected distinctions in national and international competitions, ensuring authenticity and superior quality.
As usual, the fair will feature a covered area where five shades will be installed that will serve traditional snacks throughout the day. The opening to the public happens at 12:00 and the event extends until 23:00, without interruptions, inviting Farenses and visitors to share moments at the table in a relaxed environment.
Wine lovers will be able to purchase the official glass of the event, exploring the different stands for tastings and purchases, taking advantage of special promotions available only during the fair. The wine will also be served to the glass, allowing you to prove a wide variety of castes and regions.
With free admission, this event is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the traditional flavors of Portugal in a privileged scenario, along with the Ria and the Historical Heart of the city of Faro.
