The government will sign on Monday (14) 22 agreements with municipalities for the São Paulo neighborhood program, the Secretariat of Urban Development and Housing, with an investment of R $ 6.7 million. In all, interventions will impact 5,581 families.
The governor will also sign authorization for the folder to settle an agreement with 62 more municipalities, with an investment of another R $ 37.2 million.
The program was launched at the end of 2024 and aims to promote improvements in degraded urban areas, focusing on the preservation of the environment, mobility and development one of the priorities is to increase resilience to climate change.
A pilot project has already been delivered in Araçoiaba da Serra and five others are underway in White House, Chavantes, Lagoinha, Juquitiba and São José da Bela Vista.
The State assists in the elaboration of the projects and makes the transfer of funds to works, which should have municipal counterparts. The interventions will be made in eight axes: rainwater management, paving, mobility, water management, multifunctional green areas, equipment, lighting and signaling.
The Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, Marcelo Branco, says that the program incorporates in its scope, in addition to the housing plan, urban development and the need to think about how to build more resilient cities.
