The Greek police are investigating a bomb attack on Hellenic Train, to which a militant group of revolutionary self -defense has entered.
The Greek police said on Monday that it was investigating a militant group of revolutionary self -defense for Friday’s bomb attack in front of the Athens office of Hellenic Train. TASR reports this based on Reuters report.
In a statement published on the news website Athens Indymedia, the armed group applied for responsibility for a bomb attack on Hellenic Train from April 11. It responded to insufficient investments and concerns about railway safety, as well as to a train accident in 2023, which killed 57 people.
The explosion caused damage
Friday’s explosion caused minor damage, but no injuries were reported. The police evacuated the area after the local newspaper and the news website were given an anonymous phone call warning about the attack shortly before the explosion.
Hellenic Train belongs to the Italian Ferrovie dello Stato Italiana and operates personal and costly routes across Greece.
The revolutionary self -defense group also applied for last year’s attack on the Ministry of Labor in Athens, who did not claim any injuries. The group stated that both attacks were dedicated to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
