Will Quinteros be fired?
Until now, The Grêmio board did not officially position about the future of Gustavo Quinteros. Last Friday (11/04), Immortal Vice President Alexandre Rossato spoke about the situation of the coach in office and supported the work.
– We are pleased with the work done, although unhappy with the result and anxious to come. I refer to the result of football and game form. But still, Grêmio today has 66% success in 2025. We see that the team is not delivering the way we expect, but we know that a serious work is being done, correct, and that the results will appear in the very close future – said the manager, in an interview with the ‘Radio Gaucha Show’.
Quinteros has a contract with Grêmio until the end of this season. When asked about a possible deadline for the improvement of the team, Rossato did not give a certain time.
– It doesn’t exist. Our only deadline between Grêmio and the technical committee of Gustavo Quinteros is one year, which is the contract. The club understands that this work is under development, naturally the difficulties are a process of a new job. It does not project (the resignation), unless the work being done has a rupture, which we believe will not happen – concluded the leader.
