American singer Katy Perry participated on Monday on a space mission aboard the Blue Origin Rocket New Shepard, becoming a member of the first entire female crew to take a trip to the space.
On board also followed Lauren Sánchez, bride of Jeff Bezos, Gayle King, CBS host, Aisha Bowe, former NASA engineer, Amanda Nguyen, civil rights activist, and Kerianne Flynn, film producer.
The mission was approximately 11 minutes and reached an altitude of about 100 kilometers above the earth’s surface. The trip was broadcast live through online platforms, allowing the public to follow all phases of the operation.
