An important element of Easter is tuning baskets, which we will bring to the church to sacrifice food. Each of them will contain colorful eggs, which are a symbol of new life and fertility. We usually dye them with onion shells. Time to learn a new way using … shaving foam.
Few people know that shaving foam can help dye eggs to the Easter basket. Thanks to it, we can easily spread the food dye or paint.
This bathroom product creates a light, fluffy base that makes the dyeing cleaner and more controlled – the dye does not flow from the egg. In addition, we can create interesting color effects, e.g. transitions between colors or marbled patterns.
You will also need vinegar for all thiswhich certainly each of us has in their kitchen cabinet. The egg shell is built mainly of calcium, and vinegar, i.e. acetic acid, slightly dissolves its outer layer, removing any dirt or fat residues.
Thanks to vinegar, the dye better penetrates into the shell structure. The colors come out more intense and more durable.

To make, at the beginning, we cook hard -boiled eggs as standard. Then we cool them and soak them in vinegar for 20 minutes.
In the meantime, in a small bowl, spread the shaving foam and combine it with any paint or food dye. Nothing prevents you from mixing several colors.
In the resulting mixture, we dip cleansed eggs – They must be dyed on all sides. We recommend putting on gloves so as not to dirty your hand with this mixture. In this step, it is worth decorating Easter eggs with stickers or glitter.
We put the eggs prepared in this way on a paper towel and wait 30 minutes. After this time, we rinse them under running water.
Eggs dyed in shaving foam will be a great decoration of the Easter basket. Remember, however, that you can’t eat them.
